Perth audiences are in for a rare treat as two of the Asia-Pacific's most distinguished jazz artists collaborate for their first Perth performance together.
The Michael Pignéguy Quartet, core of the acclaimed sextet that has captivated audiences across four continents since the mid-1990s, welcomes internationally renowned Singaporean vocalist Alemay Fernandez to Camelot's intimate setting.
Fernandez arrives with extraordinary credentials, having shared stages with jazz royalty including David Foster, Gregory Porter, and Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. As the only Asian singer to perform with the world's premier jazz orchestras – including The Count Basie Orchestra and The Duke Ellington Orchestra – she brings her "sultry tone and powerhouse vocals" (praised by legends from Benny Golson to Randy Brecker) to Perth for this exclusive engagement.
